Zimbabwe is home to one of the most famous natural wonders of the world, the mighty Victoria Falls. These really need to be seen to be believed. If youâre looking for an adrenaline rush, try the bungy jumping or white water rafting on the Zambezi River. If that doesnât get your blood rushing, nothing will. For a break from Africaâs Adventure playground, venture into one or two of the many amazing wildlife parks where, if youâre lucky, you have the chance of seeing Africaâs Big Five: Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffalos and Rhioceros.

Come on, share the water

When I was in Zimbabwe, it was a time of uncertainty - much like now - but we decided to go anyway. One of my lasting memories was Gloria, the guesthouse manager, telling us that in dry season, the elephants come in to the township of Victoria Falls and slam the pipes with their trunks to get to the fresh water. I still have this great mental image of these unstoppable huge animals just walk in to town, taking what they need and leave again. One of the best things about Africa is the amazing closeness to nature and animals that you will feel wherever you are.
